Invisalign is an alternative to metal braces that uses clear plastic aligners to straighten teeth invisibly. The custom-made trays are worn at all times, but are removed when eating, drinking, or cleaning your teeth. With Invisalign’s clear aligner system, you get straight teeth without anyone knowing!
Invisalign is a great option for patients who want to straighten their teeth discreetly and comfortably. Because the aligners are clear, they are barely visible on the patient’s face. This makes them a great option for adult patients who are looking for a more aesthetically appealing alternative to metal braces. It’s also great for teens who are concerned about their image and want to maintain their appearance while straightening their teeth.
The entire treatment process with Invisalign takes approximately a year. Most patients will see their desired results in a matter of months to a year’s time. Additionally, the smooth plastic of the aligners will not irritate your mouth the way braces can. Patients also experience less discomfort throughout the treatment process than those treated with traditional braces. Contact our office today to learn more about what Invisalign can do for you!

If your teeth have been crowded and crooked, then you may benefit from orthodontic treatment with Invisalign clear aligners from our dentist in Charlotte, NC. Invisalign can address mild cases of misalignment that do not require extensive treatment using metal braces to straighten your smile. Consult with our dentist to determine if Invisalign is the best treatment option for straightening your teeth and improving your oral health.
Our dentists are experienced in treating patients with mild to moderate alignment issues with Invisalign clear aligners as an alternative to traditional metal braces. Invisalign is a series of clear aligners that are worn over the teeth to gradually shift the teeth into proper alignment. The aligners are made of a clear plastic material and are nearly invisible when worn over the patient’s smile. Patients can straighten their teeth without anyone knowing they are receiving orthodontic care. Invisalign aligners are removable, so patients can eat their favorite foods in comfort, brush and floss normally to maintain good oral health during treatment. Patients who play contact sports or other activities where their mouth may be vulnerable to injury may benefit from removable aligners to avoid injury. Additionally, patients who feel they need a slight boost in their self-confidence or who may feel self-conscious about wearing metal braces may benefit from the discreet and comfortable nature of Invisalign.
While Invisalign may not be appropriate for patients with severe malocclusions, our dentist may recommend this orthodontic treatment option if you have mild to moderate alignment issues. Contact our dental office to learn more about if Invisalign is the right option for you. We also offer Invisalign Teen for our younger patients who wish to undergo treatment with Invisalign.

Your comfort is key! Unlike traditional braces that use metal brackets and wires, Invisalign uses a clear aligner that gently shifts your teeth into place. There are no uncomfortable wires or brackets, which can make cleaning your teeth difficult. Because you can remove the aligners to eat and clean your teeth, you don’t have to worry about food getting stuck in between your braces like with traditional braces. And when you’re done eating, simply put your aligners back in until it’s time for your next meal.
In addition to being comfortable and convenient, Invisalign is also discreet. The clear aligners are virtually unnoticeable to those around you. With the ability to remove the aligners to clean your teeth and eat, you don’t have to worry about your braces getting in the way of your lifestyle. You can easily remove your aligners to attend a special event or when you’re out with friends. On the other hand, it’s recommended that you wear your aligners for at least 20-22 hours a day to ensure proper results. However, you can take them out if you need to clean them or if they cause discomfort.

Generally speaking, Invisalign costs more than traditional braces. However, the aligners are more convenient and comfortable than the brackets and wires of metal braces. Your dental insurance may cover some or most of your treatment costs.
Many of our patients pay about $2,000 to $3,500 for their entire Invisalign treatment. The exact cost will depend on your insurance coverage, the number of sets of aligners you need, and the severity of your misalignment issues. Feel free to contact your dentist’s office to learn more about the specific cost of your treatment plan.
To make treatments more affordable, we accept many payment options, including financing through CareCredit®. You may also be eligible for a discount if you pay for your entire treatment upfront in cash. Keep in mind that if you get your orthodontic treatment done early, you could benefit from better long-term oral health outcomes.
Many patients experience significant savings with Invisalign compared to other types of orthodontic treatment. For example, our patient Brenda saved over $5,200 by choosing Invisalign over her other orthodontic options:
“Dr. Safir recommended that I get Invisalign since I wear my retainers at night and they don’t get in the way like braces do.” – Brenda L., Boise, ID
Unlike traditional braces, you can remove your aligners to eat and clean your teeth. This means you don’t have to worry about getting food stuck in your brackets or having to go a long time between brushing sessions to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
